Local Issues Committee
The Local Issues Committee is the most active Committee in the Chamber’s arsenal. This Committee has input on just about every local topic around; such as, street repair, interstate access, expansion, large local events, etc. If you want your voice to be heard on local issues, this Committee is for you.
The Local Issues Committee meets the 2nd Friday of each month, 7:30am, at Perkins Family Restaurant. To join this Committee please call the Pocatello-Chubbuck Chamber of Commerce office 208-233-1525
Legislative Council The members of the Legislative Council deal with issues that will affect the well being of the business community in our great state. This committee works hand-in-hand with area legislators on House and Senate legislative issues. They organize a once a year “Chamber Days at the Legislature” in Boise during each legislative session in the month of January. The members of the committee join with chamber members from all over the state for 2 a day stay filled with legislative camaraderie, education, and good fun. The Legislative Council meets the 3rd Thursday of each month when not in session at 7:30am at the Clarion Inn, and the Council meets every Thursday while the legislators are in session at 7:00am at the Clarion Inn.
The Pocatello-Chubbuck Chamber of Commerce Beautification Committee seeks to engage the community in cooperatively working together to enhance and maintain the beauty of our area.
The Beautification Committee is a group of individuals dedicated to beautifying and promoting the beautification of our community. This committee organizes a spring cleaning of the trash that accumulates throughout the year called the Community-Wide Spring Cleanup. The Committee encourages businesses to improve their properties by awarding them the Chamber Applauds and Spirit of the Valley awards every month at the All Membership Meeting. Both programs were established to urge merchants to enhance their places of business with either cosmetic upgrades or new construction. The hanging basket program in Old Town Pocatello was developed and organized by this Committee. In addition, the Committee rewards residents and businesses for keeping up their landscaping, homes, and properties by awarding the Golden Arrow Awards. This group also works to enrich area pride by pursuing and developing campaigns, programs and opportunities that reflect the positive image of our community.
The Pocatello-Chubbuck Chamber of Commerce Education Committee is committed to raising funds that go directly to support Pocatello/Chubbuck School District #25 high school students participating in dual credit classes. Each year, the committee organizes a luncheon fundraiser to create awareness about the scholarship and solicit donations for the scholarship program. As part of the fundraiser, a well respected and renowned speaker is invited to the event to provide inspirational remarks. The committee is comprised of representatives from School District #25, Idaho State University, local non-profits, and area businesses. The committee meets on a monthly basis to conduct business related to the scholarship efforts. Mission Statement: Pocatello/Chubbuck School District #25, Idaho State University, and the Pocatello-Chubbuck Chamber of Commerce partnering to rais awareness of, participation in, and quality of education in our greater Pocatello Communities.

The Chamber Champions are a group of Chamber members who are passionate about our local economy. Their main goal and purpose is to get new and existing Chamber Member involved in chamber activities.
Some of the duties include:
- Delivery of new member packets
- Bringing new members to events
- Develop social media campaigns
- Evaluate the website and other communicatations
- Participate and volunteer at events such as: the Chamber Putt Putt Tourney and the General Membership Meetings
The Pocatello Chiefs are the ambassadors of the Pocatello-Chubbuck Chamber of Commerce. The Chiefs are made up of heavily involved community minded individuals who care about the success of our area.
You will see the Pocatello Chiefs at many community functions such as; ribbon cuttings, parades, a ground breaking, volunteering at a community breakfast, and much more.
Leadership Pocatello-Chubbuck is designed to prepare and build leadership in the Pocatello-Chubbuck area. It brings together experienced and motivated individuals from various sectors of our community in an on-going program, which provides a broad overview of the Pocatello-Chubbuck area, and develops further leadership skills.
- Inform and expose participants to concerns in our community, challenges and potential solutions.
- Provide an opportunity for participants to meet and exchange ideas.
- Motivate and encourage participants to become involved in the Chamber and the Pocatello-Chubbuck Community.
