Before entering the world of politics in January 2010 and being re-elected in 2017, Mayor Brian Blad spent many years as a small business owner. As Mayor of Pocatello, he is tasked with managing the day-to-day operations of City government, as well as presiding over meetings of the City Council. He also serves on a number of boards and committees throughout the community, as well as participates in as many activities as his schedule will allow. At a state level, he serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of Idaho Cities and the Idaho Counties Risk Management Program. He is the reigning “Dancing with the Pocatello Stars” champion, holder of the “Controller Trophy” as winner of the Gate City Game Play Event, and four-time Kiwanis Pancake Flipping champion. He is also the host of his own television show, “Calling City Hall.” Mayor Blad and his wife, Laura, have 4 children, Ben, Jade, Jordan and Bryson, and one grandchild, Owen.
Mayor Kevin England was sworn into office on January 14, 2014. He had served one term of 4 years on the Chubbuck City Council; the last 2 years as council president. He has served on many boards and committees in this area and in a number of leadership roles within his church. He loves serving the people of his community. He is a former paint contractor and has been licensed to sell insurance as well at being a licensed realtor. He married his high school sweetheart, the former Melody Terry, and they have 6 children and 21 grandchildren.
