Industry day for Leadership was held on March 9th. We started at ICCU with Vauna Newbold presenting on our topic of reason. She did a great job explaining why we do what we do as leaders.
We started our first tour at Amy’s Kitchen. We learned about the California-based company that focuses on providing their customers with food that tastes good. We toured the amazing facility that adds so much to our community and employs over 500 employees in our area. We were able to sample some of the food, and it really does taste good. Not only did we all enjoy the enchiladas, but loved the new candy bars.
Simplot was our next stop. They were so gracious and provided lunch for us from Bi Lo. Then we split up into groups and they took us on a tour of their facility. They taught us about fertilizer, and now we will all have the strongest and greenest grass at our homes.
Next we headed out to Western States Cat. We were very surprised at how big and clean this new facility was. Many of us added driving a tractor to our bucket lists after seeing how enormous they were.
The class is very excited for their upcoming event on Saturday, April 8th at the Shoshone-Bannock Hotel and Event Center. The fundraiser will highlight some of Pocatello’s favorite restaurants and focus on the theme “Beyond Imagination” with guest performer Mark Toland. Toland is a mind reader, film maker, skeptic, actor, and writer. Come enjoy an evening out with food, drinks, raffles, and auctions with a mind blowing show sure to impress.
