Happy New Chamber Year!  As we kick off a new Chamber year I want to welcome Jennifer Erchul with E-Squared Creative as the Volunteer Chairman of the Pocatello-Chubbuck Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.  Along with Jennifer we also welcome some new or returning board members to the Board of Directors for the Chamber.  This list includes John Abreu with Portneuf Medical Center, Shelli Bardsley with Idaho Central Credit Union, Drew Damron from Simplot, Ari Price from Gold’s Gym and DeAnn Wilson from Denny’s Wrecker Service.  As elected members of the Board of Directors they represent you, our members, and we appreciate their willingness to serve.  We also have a couple of new Ex-Officio board members with John Regetz from Bannock Development Corp. will serve as the new Chief of Chiefs and Dustin Henry with Simplot will serve as the Board Chair for Leadership Pocatello-Chubbuck.   I look forward to working with all the Board in the 2016-2017 year.

Over the next couple of months, the Chamber will be holding a few breakfast meetings for you to meet the candidates for Governor.  We will begin with our first breakfast on Friday October 13th at 8 am at Juniper Hills Country Club.  Our first candidate in will be our current Lt. Governor Brad Little.  Breakfast is $15 and you can reserve by calling the chamber at 208-233-1525.

As the chamber kicks off our new year it will be a short one.  The board made the decision a few months back to switch from our current fiscal year to an annual calendar year.  Because of that we will have a short three-month year from October through December and then we will start again on January 1, 2018.  We believe that this will help us in our planning process.  The staff at the Chamber is looking forward to great year with all our members and all our wonderful events.  Please consider coming to the many events that we have throughout the year.  If you have not engaged with the chamber recently, you may wish to come one of our orientation meetings to learn more about how to get involved.

Thanks to all of our members for the support you have shown me over the past year. I am always interested in meeting with members and discussing their business.  If you would like to schedule a meeting with me please call me at the Chamber office at 233-1525.
