All three golf courses are open, little league baseball registration lines are full, and this morning a helpless groundhog is accused of perjury; spring in Southeastern Idaho is in the air.
The Pocatello-Chubbuck Chamber of Commerce and Old Town Pocatello kick off every spring with the Gate City Brewfest. The Brewfest took place Saturday, March 12, and had a record turnout of attendees and brewers. People from Boise, Twin Falls, Utah and Southeast Idaho enjoyed samples of our nation’s best hand-crafted beer. With 35 brewers bringing over 80 different selections to sample at 18 local bars and restaurants throughout Old Town Pocatello, patrons and business owners had great networking opportunities while showcasing their venues.
The Chamber of Commerce and Old Town Pocatello would like to thank our sponsors for the event: McDonalds, Idaho Central Credit Union, Idaho State Journal, KZBQ 93.7 and KORR 104, Watkins Distributing, TEC Distributing, Hayden Beverage, Craig Stein Beverage and the Clarion Inn Pocatello.
The Chamber of Commerce has a lot planned for 2016. Some of the upcoming events include: Member Orientation, Wednesday, March 16 from 5 – 7 pm at Juniper Hills Country Club. Fools Bowling Tournament, Friday April 1st 2 pm at Tough Guy Bowling Lanes. All Member Meeting, April 1sth 11:30 am at the Clarion Inn.
