University Financial Group: LTC & Medicare Seminar – 3-5 pm
University Financial Group was founded on the ISU campus in 1993 using a collapsible card table in front of the campus book store by Lance Kolbet while he was attending Idaho State University. Originally the name was University Insurance & Scholarship and exclusively provided health insurance and scholarship assistance to students on campus. Since then University Financial Group (UFG) does business throughout the Northwest U.S. and a few other states providing insurance, retirement and investments opportunities to over 3,000 individuals and small businesses through approximately 100 insurance brokers. University Financial Group is a full-service financial consulting firm dedicated to helping our clients build wealth and protect their hard-earned assets. Our firm is completely independent, so our loyalty belongs exclusively to our clients — not to a parent company. Our independence enables us to establish working relationships with a number of industry-leading brokerage firms and insurance providers whose products we leverage to create customized client portfolios. We recommend only those products and services that can be tailored to suit our clients’ unique needs. We serve individuals and businesses in all areas of financial management, including: Retirement, Tax Management, Estate Planning, Risk Management, and Education Funding.
University Financial Group will be hosting a 2-part seminar on Medicare and issues surrounding long term care. Curry Andrews, Estate and Elder Law Attorney will be presenting on Medicare spend down and issues surrounding will and estate planning. Lance Kolbet will then be presenting on Life insurance and how it pertains to long term care.
Scentsy has flourished from a small family operation to a thriving international company and a leader in the direct selling industry. But some things haven’t changed. We still hold true to our core values and a dedication to contribute more than we take in our relationships with our Consultants, customers and the communities in which we live and work.
At Scentsy, we’re a family. We’re honest and hardworking and real. We offer each other support and strive to give anyone who wants to enhance their life the best opportunity to do it. The basis for Scentsy Family’s business philosophy comes from a quote by Albert Einstein — a quote that so inspired Orville Thompson as a young man he kept it posted on his bedroom wall: “Try not to become a man of success. Rather, become a man of value. A successful man takes out of life more than he puts in. A man of value will give more than he receives”. When they launched Scentsy, the Thompsons determined from the beginning to build their business around core values of Simplicity, Authenticity and Generosity. Those key values extend to everything we do.
